A founding partner of The Trailblazer Group, Ryan Price has over a decade of experience in domestic politics with extensive contacts and networks in all 50 states. He most recently served as Romney-Ryan's Director of Debate Operations in the 2012 general election, and was the Director of Operations for the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa.
In 2008, Mr. Price served as National Deputy Political Director for McCain-Palin 2008 . In this position, Mr. Price handled ballot access for the campaign, and ensured that John McCain was on the ballot with filed delegates in every primary state.
Mr. Price managed over two dozen state conventions for the campaign, and through this process developed an extensive national grassroots network that he then mobilized en route to John McCain winning the Republican presidential nomination and also utilized in the general election. As the director of the National Surrogates and Coalitions divisions, he helped place high level politicians, national figures and celebrities at various events to represent Senator McCain and focused on strengthening and concentrated the coalitions on grassroots and Get Out The Vote efforts.
At the 2008 Republican National Convention, Mr. Price was the Director of Floor Operations. In this position, he coordinated all 56 delegations and over 5000 delegates and alternate delegates, and built, organized, and ran the floor operations team, which consisted of 120+ members. In conjunction with the Convention Director, Mr. Price developed and implemented strategies for all movements and activity on the floor of the convention, including motions, roll call, state delegation seating, and VIP movements. He also oversaw the Sergeant at Arms program, coordinating with the United States Secret Service, on-site security, and local police.
Prior to joining the McCain campaign, Mr. Price served as Political Director to Tom Gallagher in the 2006 Florida gubernatorial primary where he ran a staff of ten field directors and handled every aspect of the grassroots operation in the nation's fourth largest state. He received his start on major campaigns in 1998, where he managed his first political field organization by serving as a southeast Field Director for gubernatorial candidate Jeb Bush, and in the 2000 Presidential election for George W. Bush.
A native of Florida, Mr. Price graduated from Appalachian State University in North Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in communication, and received his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law. Mr. Price also served in the U.S. Army's First Ranger Battalion. He and his wife Debbie reside in Washington, D.C. with their three daughters.
